MCI, a Reward of 5 thousand riyals for Reporting about the Warehouses of Fireworks Wholesalers

MCI has allocated a financial reward of five thousand riyals for those reporting about the warehouses of fireworks wholesalers, provided that the quantity to be seized should not be less than four thousand pieces. MCI points out the importance of reporting about fireworks, since they are considered a risk to the safety of consumers, especially children.
MCI is so keen and careful to raise the awareness of the dangers of using and trading fireworks every year, and this is an extension to its previous awareness campaigns, such as "Your Weapon is in your Child's Hand", aiming at inviting all parties, especially the competent authorities, to cooperate and contribute in reducing the dangers of fireworks, and to keep strict control on fireworks wholesalers.
MCI stresses its determination to prosecute those involved in storing such prohibited fireworks, and it would   confiscate and destroy all the quantities to be seized, in coordination and cooperation with the security authorities.
MCI emphasizes that it will not tolerate in imposing the legal penalties on violators and those involved in storing any adulterated or dangerous items, and it will continue its inspection and control rounds to monitor any violations in this regard.
MCI calls on all consumers to cooperate and report about any fireworks warehouses or the fireworks wholesalers, by contacting the Notification Center in the Ministry on 1900, or through making a Commercial Notification. The Secretariats and Municipalities will be in charge of prosecuting the owners of the violating stalls or the street vendors.
