H.E. MCI Minister Heads the Saudi Delegation for the 7th Bosphorus Summit in Turkey

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participates in the 7th  Bosphorus Summit to be held in Turkey during the period from 29th November to 1st December, as a state of honor. This summit is hosting Heads of States, Prime Ministers, Experts and Businessmen from 90 countries around the world, it is inaugurated by His Excellency the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, under the title " Global Futures and Universal Goals"

The Kingdom’s delegation to be headed by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, with the participation of a government delegation comprising members of the Shura Council as well as representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Planning, Ministry of Labour and Social Development, Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Culture and Information, and the General Authority for Investment.

H.E. Dr. Majid Al Qasabi will deliver a speech at the opening session of the summit, a number of the Saudi delegation members would participate in various sessions, including "Saudi Vision 2030” , “Turkey's Vision 2023", "Diversification of Energy Sources for Middle East countries (Non-Oil Exports)," "Developments in Global Civil Aviation” and “Communication Technology. "

On the sidelines of the summit, H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment will also meet officials from investment sectors in various fields, besides attending the Saudi-Turkish Business Council.

The 7th Bosporus Summit to include holding 25 various sessions, such as "Looking Ahead: The Next 50 Years" “Business Models for Holistic Stability Achievement and Development Goals (SDGs)", "Islamic Finance and Investment", "The Future of Sport Industry", "Economic Stability for a Better Future." , "Smart Technology App. in Foreign Trade", "Women’s Empowerment for a Smart Economy", "The Impact of Media on Communities", "Renewable Energy", "New Silk Road", and "Developments in the Global Civil Aviation and Communication Technology."

The 7th Bosphorus summit focuses on the tasks of promoting multilateral and multidisciplinary effective cooperation, stimulate a new level of global cooperation, generating result-based dialogues, enhancing partnerships between the public and private sectors and the establishment of mutual economic dependencies to achieve stability.

The 7th  Bosphorus Summit comes as a result of the new economic variables experienced currently by the world, especially in our area, this leads to the need to search for alternative ways to cope with these variables through inviting investors, businessmen and politicians to have working group for implementing various projects and developing the economy in our region.

This summit is being held on an annual basis, where six summits had been held so far, the latest one was in December 2015.
