Violators Referred to the Competent Authorities for Taking the Legal Procedures

Within the last five days, the Ministry of Commerce and Investment detected two violations related to network marketing and foiled two meetings for members of such activity in Makkah.

Last Wednesday, the Ministry, aided by the Criminal Investigation Command, raided a training session for (12) members of Q-Net Company at a café. The defendants were referred to the competent authorities for taking the necessary legal proceedings against them.

With the support of the Public Security, MCI detected as well another meeting in Makkah. An Arab female expat, working for the same company, was referred to the competent authorities for taking the necessary legal proceedings against her.

MCI has already warned against the networking activity of Q-Net Company, since it is a prohibited activity in Saudi Arabia. A decision has been taken by H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment to ban such activity and it has been considered a misleading activity.

MCI affirms its ongoing endeavors to control and stop the violators and those practicing such activities, due to the deception that may be levied on citizens and residents by deluding them of making lots of profits.

MCI calls on all consumers to lodge their complaints, reports and inform about those marketing such activities through MCI Consumer Call Center (1900) or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report or through the Ministry’s official website.
