Municipalities have already Obliged all Gas Stations to Put Screens Showing the Approved Prices
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has carried out an inspection campaign on petrol stations in various regions of the Kingdom, in order to verify the conformity of fuel prices with the prices shown on the screens, fixed at the gas stations. During the inspection tours which last for two days, 463 gas stations have been inspected and two violations are released due to price difference.
This inspection tour comes within the integrated efforts of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs to control various commercial activities, including the gas stations.
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment confirms the continuation of monitoring the fuel prices and their conformity with the prices shown on the screens. MCI will receive and respond to consumers' complaints and reports in case of any price differences. Legal penalties will be imposed against the violating stations.
MCI calls on all consumers to lodge their complaints and reports in case of any violation through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or through MCI Consumer Call Center (1900), or via the Ministry's website.
