MCI Inspection Teams Seized Fake Printer Toner Valued at SR 1,300,000

Raiding a warehouse at computer complex in Riyadh, MCI Field Inspection Teams seized (19.100) fake and counterfeit printer toner valued at SR 1,300,000.

MCI pointed out that these counterfeit and fake products included 4500 cartons of counterfeit toner for famous trademarks, 4100 counterfeit toner cartridges ready for sale, 1300 cartridges, 4 thousand packaging toner bags, 4 thousand rings for closing the cartridges and plastic closing materials, in addition to 1200 Stickers & E-slides describing the product.

MCI indicated that the illegal labors used to sell fake and counterfeit products to the shops and consumers, claiming that they are original. Meanwhile, the violators have been arrested by police, in preparation to hear their words by the Anti-Commercial Fraud & Anti-Commercial Cover up Departments, and then to be referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.

This comes within MCI inspection & control tours on warehouses and all commercial institutions to verify their regular operations, as well as to ensure the safety of protects, also to protect the consumers against any risk, more over to eradicate the supply of counterfeit and substandard products in the market, beside applying the R&R on violators.

MCI will not hesitate to impose legal penalties on offenders and those involved in the practice of fraud and counterfeiting.

MCI calls on all consumers to lodge their complaints and observations through the Ministry’s Consumer Call Center 1900, or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, via their smart phones.
