The Ministry of Commerce, Al-Jouf Branch Carried out 576 Inspection Tours on Shops and Outlets to Verify the Availability and Abundance of Goods and Food Stocks, 228 Complaints Received and Necessary Action Taken

The inspection teams at Al Jouf Branch have carried out 576 inspection tours to verify the availability and abundance of goods and food stock in the markets and outlets. The Ministry’s branch at Al Jouf received 228 complaints about price exaggeration. Consequently necessary action has been taken and proper penalties have been imposed on the violators.

The Ministry's inspection tours in Al Jouf included Sakaka, Al Qurayyat, Tabarjal, Dumat Al-Jandal, Sawyer, Zalloum, Hudayb, Al-Adhara’a, Abu Ajram, Maqoo'a, Tala’at Ammar, Al-Nasifah, Al-Issawiya, Al-Hadithah Border, Basitah, Khu'a, and Athafa’a

The Ministry’s inspection tours targeted the stores and warehouses of commodities, foodstuffs, consumables, outlets, meat and vegetable stores, bakeries and fuel stations.

The results show the availability and abundance of the necessary food supplies and commodities, and surely there is sufficient food stock to meet the market need, besides the existence of price stability.

The Ministry of Commerce calls on the consumers to report and lodge their complaints about the violating establishments and outlets through the Consumer Call Center (1900), or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry's official website.
