His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, inaugurated the services of "Shafafiya/ Transparency" and "Tahaqouk/ Verification" launched by the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants on Monday morning at MCI Headquarters.
His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment hailed and praised the role of these two services, and the specialized books in accounting, because of the important role they play in the development of the profession and environment of accounting, stressing the importance of exerting more efforts to develop and support the said Organization to occupy a high rank among the international organizations, and thus achieving the aspiration and directives of the Kingdom’s wise leadership. Consequently, this may contribute to the realization of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The Secretary General of the aforementioned Organization explained that the service of the Transparency Report will allow the owners of the establishments to know the information about the Certified Accounting Offices, such as the level of their employees’ qualification, their professional certificates, their clients and more additional important information that would help those interested to choose the appropriate office they need and the service they may require, whether auditing, Zakat, tax, accounting or financial consultation.
The Secretary-General of the said Organization pointed out that the service of "Tahaqouk/ Verification" allows the owners of the facilities to verify the identity of the representative of the Accounting Office by entering his identity number. This is to reduce the issues of those pretending and claiming that they are certified public accountants.
This ceremony witnessed launching the Arabic version of the International Standards of SMEs Financial Report, as well as a number of accounting books, which had been translated and published in order to facilitate the transfer of the best educational curricula at the international level for the development of scientific courses and educational outcomes, particularly for the accounting departments in the Kingdom, and for the Arab world in general, besides enabling the Accounting Departments at the universities to be familiar with the modern knowledge in the field of accounting, thus going in line with the developments currently taking place in the Kingdom.
The Secretary-General of the Saudi Organization of Certified Public Accountants expressed his thanks and appreciation to H.E. Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi for launching the two services and for his interest and support to the Organization functions, and for his keenness to overcome any encountered difficulties, looking forward for the positive directives of H.E., since he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Organization of Certified Public Accountants.
