On Tuesday, the Ministry’s inspection teams had carried out 492 inspection rounds on all shops and outlets in Asir Region to verify the availability of food supply and stocks. The inspection tours included in particular food outlets, bakeries, meat and fish shops, gas stations and warehouses.
The inspection tours revealed the abundance of foodstuffs and products, as well as the availability of adequate stock, in addition to price stability, and the food supplies are running smoothly.
The inspection tours included the governorates and cities of Asir Region, such as Abha, Khamis Mushait, Bisha, Al Namas, Ahad Rufaida, Bariq, Al Barak, Balqarn, Tathleeth, Tanumah, Rijal Alma’a, al-Harjah, Sarat Ubaidah, Turaiib, Dhahran Al-Janoub, Mahayel Asir, Al-Mujaradah, Rabou'a, Al-Haridah, and Umwah .
These inspection tours come as part of the Ministry’s efforts to control the markets and outlets in all regions of the Kingdom, also to monitor the provisions situation and to control cases of fraud, manipulation and misleading towards the consumers, besides imposition the legal penalties on violators, in accordance with the commercial regulations.
The Ministry calls on all consumers to report and lodge their complaints against any violating establishments or outlets through the Consumer Call Center (1900), or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry’s website.
