Hangars for Breeding Poultry were Monitored in such Warehouse
MCI Control Teams detected labors involved in storing foodstuffs in a warehouse inside labor accommodation belonging to one of the cleaning companies in Zulfi. During the site inspection, it turned out that the labors were marketing the food items and children meals to school canteens under special contracts. The children school meals were prepared and stored in a random manner, and they were subject to be spoiled and corrupted, besides the site was lacking health requirements, and the labors did not commit to the minimum hygiene standards. All the quantities were confiscated with the closure of the site, while those involved were summoned for investigation and taking the legal procedures against them.
The details go back when MCI received a notification from a citizen about a random warehouse, unsuitable for foodstuffs inside labor accommodation of one of the cleaning companies contracting for cleaning mosques in Zulfi. Immediately, the Control Teams raided the site and found large quantities of utensils and cooking items like oil, and foodstuffs ready to be marketed and sold to school canteens in Zulfi province.
MCI Inspection Teams had monitored also hangars for breeding poultry inside the warehouse, along with the spread of insects inside. The Control Teams monitored as well quantities of electrical appliances and cleaning items at the front of the site, in order to mislead the Control and Inspection teams and for hiding away.
MCI had announced earlier the closure of a warehouse in Zulfi for storing 6 thousand expired and rotten food items containing large quantities of juice and rice bags, that had been stored in a violating manner, all the quantities were confiscated and destroyed, and those involved were summoned for investigation and taking the legal procedures against them.
MCI stresses that it will not tolerance in imposing the legal penalties on violators and those involved in the practice of fraud, and all that put the health and safety of consumers at risk.
