H.E. Dr. Al-Qasabi Inaugurates a new Version of the Commercial Violation Report

This new Application Contains Recalling Defective Goods, a Badge for Active Informers and an option to Report against Stores of Electronics
 
H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, inaugurates on Monday at MCI Headquarter a new version of the "Commercial Violation Report" which enables the consumers to submit their reports and complaints on line to the Ministry through their smart devices.

The upgraded version of this application includes special awards and badges for those informing about the commercial violations. This is to motivate and honor their efforts to cooperate with the Ministry to protect and preserve the consumers against any commercial fraud, manipulation or misleading attempts.

The new application also contains a special option to receive reports and complaints against the stores of electronics, and a new icon to review recalling defective goods, and the announcements related to such recalling, in addition to the awareness campaigns launched by the Ministry to keep the consumers informed about their rights.
 
The upgraded version of the said application contains as well choosing the violation kind from a predefined list. Also locating the site of the violation, as well as uploading media attachments with the report, such as audio-video files, also there is a feature that gives the consumer the right to evaluate the mechanism of dealing or processing his report or complaint. This application is linked directly with MCI inspectors’ smart devices, to ensure fast processing of the report directly and in record time.
 
Meanwhile, MCI receives through the application of a Commercial Violation Report all the reports and complaints of the consumers, where they have been processed and treated automatically through direct communication with the inspectors. All the procedures are carried out by using smart devices that contribute to the speed, fulfilling and processing the task in record time, in addition to keeping the consumer informed about the status of his report and the action taken.
 
This comes within the framework of MCI efforts to follow up, monitor and analyze the consumer complaints, so that to identify and develop solutions to the main obstacles facing the consumer, besides monitoring the changes in the types of reports and complaints to determine the effect level of the awareness campaigns and public policies taken to protect the consumer. This is one of the Ministry's initiatives for Implementing the Consumer’s Rights, which goes in line with the National Transformation Program 2020.

MCI would like to confirm its keenness and care to consider and process all reports and complaints received from the consumers, besides addressing and taking the necessary measures for such complaints in record time. MCI would exert utmost efforts to provide an organized commercial environment that preserves the rights of consumers and protects them against any commercial fraud or any harmful practices.
