16 Sep 2022

Individuals and businesses were barred by the Ministry of Commerce from using the Kingdom's flag and its emblem consisting of two crossed swords and a palm tree, as well as photographs of leaders and officials and their names in business printing papers, products, commodities, media newsletters, private dedications, and others.

The Ministry announced that it will conduct inspections of marketplaces Kingdom-wide at all times, including during the National Day celebration, in order to catch violators. It will also keep an eye on electronic businesses and enforce the law against offenders.

A circular was issued four years ago to all businesses in line with Royal Decree number 3587 dated 21 Muharam 1440 H outlawing the use of the state's emblem, consisting of two crossed swords and a palm tree, in all business transactions.
