MCI Calls On the Owners of Establishments and Outlets to Commit to Placing the Efficiency Label for Water Preservation on Sanitary Ware

The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has called on all companies, Establishments and outlets selling sanitary ware to place the Efficiency Label for Water Preservation on Sanitary Ware offered for sale. Failure to place such labels is considered a violation that requires penalties on those who don't comply with the regulations included in the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law.

MCI confirms the start of implementing inspection campaigns to monitor the sanitary ware shops and outlets in various regions of the Kingdom. This is after the enforcement of the Technical Regulation for Water preservation, and as part of Ministry's efforts to follow-up the commitment of water preservation on sanitary ware, also to verify and ensure the commitment of establishments and to protect the consumers. This campaign is effected in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities, namely: Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, General Authority of Customs and National Water Company.
 
This initiative reflects the concerned authorities commitment and response to the requirements of the Technical Regulation for Water Preservation in the Kingdom. Therefore, the consumer can be aware of the efficiency rates of water preservation in the product he is going to buy easily.
 
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment calls on all consumers using sanitary ware to report and lodge their complaints against any Est. not committed to placing the Efficiency Label for Water Preservation on Sanitary Ware, specified in the technical regulation, as follows: (mixers "taps", toilets, head of shower, and washing mixers and urinal). They may contact MCI Consumer Call Center (1900) round the clock, or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report.
