In cooperation with SAMA, Practicing Business is Easier Now

The Ministry of Commerce and Investment, in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), has launched today e-payment through the Saudi Payment Network for all the services provided to the customers. Therefore, MCI becomes the first government authority to allow online payments to Mada cardholders.

MCI enables Mada cardholders to pay online directly the fees for establishing the corporate, aiming at facilitating business and making payments easier through all banking channels, as well as to support e-commerce activities.

The e-payment for MCI services through the Saudi Payment Network is considered an additional option for the beneficiaries, besides the official approved payment channels, including Sadad, Visa and Master Card.

Through the expansion and adoption of the electronic services, MCI aims to facilitate the services provided to beneficiaries, facilitate and ease starting up a business, enhance investors’ confidence, improve the trading and investment environment, and support the Kingdom's transformation into e-Government in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

MCI services for Mada cardholders can be accessed through the e-portal www.cr.sa. All transactions can be carried out directly and quickly. The relevant services can also be accessed through Meras e-portal (one of the initiatives of the Committee for Improving the Performance of Business in the Private Sector, “Taysir".

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) issued a resolution last March allowing banks operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to offer online purchasing and payment services to all Mada cardholders. This is to support and enhance the digital payment environment in the Kingdom. All technical tests and trials of the e-payment system had been completed last April.
