MCI holds a workshop to present and introduce trade facilitation agreement in Riyadh

​The Ministry of Commerce and Investment in cooperation with the World Trade Organization holds a workshop under the title "trade facilitation," on 18-19 Muharram 1438 AH, corresponding to 19 - 20 October 2016 in Riyadh, for the international trade employees working in the public and private sectors.
 
The workshop aims to introduce the trade facilitation convention within the framework of the World Trade Organization, and its impact on enhancing the exports and reduce their costs and facilitate accessing the States' Members Organization markets.
 
Organize this workshop comes out of the keenness of the Ministry of commerce and investment to develop the skills and knowledge of the cadres working in the government and the private sectors especially those who are involved in international trade, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030
 
Is worth mentioning that the trade facilitation agreement that the Kingdom recently finished its ratification procedures, considered one of the most important multilateral WTO trading system agreements. The agreement contributes to the reduction of internal trade costs by 1%, which will lead to rising the global income by $ 40 billion, most of which will go to developing countries, in addition to reducing the import and export costs and open new markets.
