The Ministry of Commerce Madinah Region Branch performed 3,642 price monitoring visits to businesses to ensure they were in compliance with the Ministry's laws. The visits reflect the inspection teams’ efforts to keep a close eye on markets Kingdom-wide.
The visits focused on outlets, markets, and warehouses in the region's cities and governorates. The inspectors ensured that there is a plentiful supply of products, as well as a sufficient number of vendors and high-quality substitute commodities. They also made sure that businesses adhere to laws protecting the consumer's rights.
The inspection teams performed 4,157 price monitoring tasks covering products and commodities in all outlets, using the electronic monitoring system.
The Ministry urged the consumers to report commercial violations by calling the toll-free number (1900) or through the “A Commercial Report” App.
