MCI Requesting those Interested and the Public to Express their Opinions on the Draft of Free Professions Law

04 Nov 2014
MCI calls on those interested and the public to express their views and suggestions on the draft of Free Professions Law , through its website before Thursday, 26/02/1436 AH, corresponding to 18/12/2014 AD, indicating the pursuit of this project to establish an official umbrella for practicing free professions in the Kingdom, since the setting up of such official umbrella has become an urgent need, in light of the great growth, witnessed by this important economic sector, and in light of the absence of explicit statutory texts governing the practice of many of the free professions, and specifying the rights and obligations of providers and beneficiaries.

The draft of the Free Professions Law has taken into account what have been issued of Rules and Regulations organizing the practice of free professions, and without any prejudice to them, such as (the profession of Attorney, Chartered Accounting, Assessment, Engineering and Health), and granting at the same time the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the jurisdiction of supervising  the practice of all professions, currently not under the supervision of any other authorities, and also granting MCI the jurisdiction of putting the license conditions for practicing such professions when needed, provided that the license conditions should be set up with the coordination with the relevant authorities determined by the Council of Ministers.

MCI calls on those interested and the public to participate and to express their opinions through the access of this link: Click here
