H.E. Dr. Al-Qasabi Conveys the Greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Iraqi President. The Saudi Consulate has been opened in Baghdad under the Patronage of H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment.

H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi, conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Iraqi people and the Iraqi government. This is during the meeting between the Iraqi president and the Saudi delegation headed by H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi, on the sidelines of the 2nd Session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, held on Thursday in Baghdad.

On this occasion, the Saudi Consulate has been opened in Baghdad under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi. H.E. the Minister confirms that this issue highlights the keenness of the Kingdom's government to strengthen and enhance the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi has also pointed out that, in the near future, three new Saudi consulates will be opened in different Iraqi cities.
  
H.E. Dr. Al-Qasabi and the Saudi delegation, in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Iraq, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, met with a number of Iraqi officials, including first the Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, and H.E. head of Iraqi Parliament, Mr. Mohammad Al Halbusi. During these meetings, the attendants discussed means of enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries in all fields. Businessmen from both countries hold several meetings to discuss the investment opportunities available in both sides and means of enhancing the investment partnership.
