The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has announced the start of issuing the seasonal discount licenses for Abha Shopping Festival through the Electronic Discount System, starting from 12 Shawwal to 4 Dhu al-Hijjah 1440H, corresponding to 15 June to 5August 2019, as well as for Jeddah Festival from 15 Shawwal to 16 Dhul Qa'da 1440H, corresponding to 18 June to 18 July 2019. Therefore, the owners of shops and electronic stores can apply for the seasonal discount licenses without any deduction from their annual discount balance.
MCI calls on the owners of the shops and electronic stores in the Kingdom to apply for the seasonal discount licenses and avail of this service by having access through the following link: Sales.mci.gov.sa. Then they can choose the type of license and complete the necessary procedures through the e-portal. It is worth mentioning that this service enables the beneficiaries to pay the fees online through "Sadad" system, and finally to print the license.
Notably, MCI had already announced launching the Electronic Discount Licensing System, in cooperation and coordination with its strategic partner Thiqa Business Services Company, early April last year, to enable the owners of the shops and electronic stores in the Kingdom to apply for seasonal discount licenses, as specified by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment.
