Report unveils the most growing activities, laws and key regulations
The Ministry of Commerce has recently released its inaugural quarterly bulletin, which sheds light on the state of the business sector and its latest developments across the Kingdom during the first quarter of 2023.
The report provides an overview of key growth indicators across various activities and sectors, as well as the progress of significant laws and regulations that have been introduced this year. Notably, the report highlights the Consumer Protection Law, Commercial Register Law, Trademark Law, Family Companies Charter, and Corporate Governance Regulations as some of the most important legal developments.
The Ministry's Q1 2023 bulletin shed light on the growth in the number of business registration records, as well as the top sectors that experienced a significant boom this year, along with the distribution of the exported records across different regions Kingdom-wide. The bulletin features indicators of economic activities in promising sectors and the flourishing e-commerce scene in the country.
The report further highlights the number of business registers issued for female businesswomen, the increase in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) financing, and the recent conversion of establishments to companies under the New Companies Law.
Moreover, the report underlines the role of the New Companies Law in improving the business sector's attractiveness, and the benefits of the newly issued regulations and laws, including the Commercial Processing Law, Commercial Franchise Law, and the Saudi Building Code.
