Minister of trade and investment to meet the founder of ZTE Chinese Technology

HE the Minister of trade and investment Dr.Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi in the presence of HE the Minister Communications and Information Technology Dr. Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, met the founder and chairman of the Chines (ZTE) Mr. Hou Weigui, in Beijing on Wednesday.

Mr. Weigui gave a short profile on the company's activities and services, explaining the company's ability to develop the content of the information technology sector, and the possibility of its contribution to achieving the Saudi Vision 2030 by establishing a regional research center for modern technologies in the communications world and portable devices that have top researchers and specialists in those techniques.

During the meeting, the chairman of ZET welcomed a suggestion to manufacturing smart devices in the Kingdom.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of building a factory to manufacture solar cells and intelligent control in renewable energy production from the sun.

It is worth mentioning that ZTE is a Chinese multinational company founded in 1985, and one of the leading telecommunications companies in information technology, specializes in mobile networks operators, telecommunications, software and their applications.

ZET entered several new areas in information technology including cloud services, smart devices, and handheld devices technology, and hopes to expand internationally in the telecommunications and information technology market. Also, it has about 69.000 employees, and there has nearly 20 research center distributed around the world. Moreover, it holds an investment license to operate in the Kingdom and contracts with all the operators.
