An electronic service provided by the Ministry of Commerce through the Saudi Business Center platform, which allows beneficiaries to reserve a trade name within a maximum period of (60) days, pending the issuance of the commercial register, without the need to visit service centers.

Access the platform: Via the National Unified Access through the Saudi Business Center platform.
Select the service: From "Doing Business" > "Ministry of Commerce" > "Reserve a Trade Name" - or from "Public Services" > "Manage Reserved Trade Names" > "Reserve a Trade Name".
Start the service: Review the terms and requirements, then agree and click "Apply for the service".
Enter data: Select the reservation type and language of the trade name - Enter up to 5 suggested trade names.
Review and submit the application: Review the application summary, modify names if necessary, then approve the declaration and submit the application.
Processing and payment: After approval by the Ministry of Commerce, the invoice is issued and paid through the central payment system.
Complete the application: After payment, the trade name is published and the application status changes to "Complete". The application can be printed or modified in the event of a return or rejection.

The applicant must not be a government employee.
The applicant must be alive.
The applicant must be the beneficiary of the trade name, or a validly authorized representative.
The name must consist of Arabic or Arabized words, Arabic letters or numerals, or one or more of these, if a trade name is reserved in Arabic.
The name must consist of English words, letters, or numerals, or one or more of these, if a trade name is reserved in English.
It must not violate public order or public morals, lead to misleading, or be prohibited.
It must not resemble a trade name reserved or registered in the commercial register, regardless of the type of activity.
It must not resemble a trade name, a globally famous trademark, or a registered or famous trademark in the Kingdom.
It must not contain any political, military, or religious meaning, connotation, or content.
It must not resemble the name, honorific, or symbol of any local, regional, or international organization or any of its institutions.

It must not contain the name of a government entity or a governmental or quasi-governmental entity.
It must adhere to the regulations for reserving or registering the name "Saudi Arabia," or the names of cities, regions, and public places, in accordance with the regulations stipulated in the Trade Names Law and its implementing regulations.
It must adhere to the provisions stipulated in the implementing regulations regarding reserving family names as trade names.

Attach a letter from the entity requesting the service if the beneficiary is a government entity or an affiliate thereof.
Attach ownership of the registered trademark to its owner when applying to reserve a similar trade name.
Attach the association's license or endowment certificate when reserving a trade name for an association or endowment.
