The Assistant Deputy Ministry is in charge of managing Ministry of Commerce branches and departments in various governorates and regions of the Kingdom. Ministry of Commerce branches provide all relevant services and are keen to implement the Ministry's Regulations, besides representing the Ministry in the administrative regions of the Kingdom.

The Assistant Deputy Ministry also supports these branches by providing all assistance and requirements needed by such branches. This is to ensure running the work smoothly. It also supervises and follows-up work activities, besides the assessment of work performance, in order to develop and improve the procedures and services provided to the customers, in addition to searching and overwhelming any challenges encountered by the branches through having the necessary coordination with the concerned departments in the Ministry. All that for improving the quality of services and for the realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The General functions of the Assistant Deputy Ministry are as follows:

Supervision and coordination of work among the Ministry's offices in the region.
Representing the Ministry in the principality, committees and other government agencies.
Supervising the Chambers of Commerce.
Attending the Regional Councils.
Planning, organizing and directing Ministry of Commerce branch managers.
Evaluating the performance level of the branch managers and the relevant departments and reporting the necessary recommendations.
