On the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to attend the 12th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to held in the Azeri capital, Baku, and on behalf of the King, Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. TAWFIG FAWZAN ALRABIAH led the Saudi delegation to the summit, which has been opened by the Azeri President Alyiev on Tuesday 16/10/2012, in Baku.
A Host of presidents, ministers, officials as well as representatives of international economic bodies, are taking part in the event.
The summit is set to review ECO achievements, since the meetings held in Istanbul in 2010, in addition to assessing ECO's performance, and discussing the objectives of its prospects for 2015.
A report of wise men committee formed in 2010, is to be submitted, too, to the summit, and will discussed, as well as draft agreements and regional cooperation.
