Ministry Seizes a Residential Villa in Riyadh

​The Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated that it has received information about a residential villa in Riyadh in which Expiry Dates of Products (shampoo – creams) are Fraudulently Modified.

Through inspection by members of commercial fraud control commission in the ministry with support of the joint security campaign the information proved to be true and that the site is a residential villa used as an office and a warehouse to store accessories and it is subordinate to an establishment.A number of (1000) shampoo bottles expired on 12/2011G as well as a quantity of shampoo with no expiry dates were seized, confiscated and destroyed. In addition, a number of (20000) empty shampoo and cream bottles with expiry date of 12/2014G. The ministry is currently taking of legal procedures against violators.

The ministry called upon all citizens to support its efforts to confront the phenomenon of commercial fraud and forgery through cooperation and reporting about any suspicious sites in which fraud and forgery are practiced, via the toll-free number.
