MCI Confiscates Quantities of Rotten Commodities, in Najran

Eid season related rounds seize 240, 000 packages of biscuits and potatoes
 
MCI confiscated destroyed more than 240 thousand units of biscuits, potatoes and peanuts, in addition to 120 kg. of rotten nuts and sweets readied for sale at marketplaces, in Najran, during the season of Eid.
 
Confiscated foodstuffs checked in, included 8 thousand chocolate wafer biscuits, 140 thousand cans of peanut, 40 thousand biscuits of nuts, about 50 thousand packs of potatoes (snaks), and other badly stored foodstuffs, which were, immediately, confiscated. 
 
Owners of these shops were brought to investigation at MCI headquarters, in order to complete applied procedures on them, according to the law.
 
MCI reaffirmed that it will continue with such inspection round, in marketplaces, warehouses and installations to guarantee malpractices' free markets, such as cheating and deceiving, in general.
 
On the other hand, MCI warns of involving in selling expired items harmful to consumers and that it will apply utmost penalties on offenders.
