The Saudi - Algerian Committee held the meetings of its ninth session on Wednesday morning 15/2/1435H.- 18.12.2013 at the Conference Palace in Riyadh , headed by His Excellency the Minister of MCI Dr. TAWFIG FAWZAN ALRABIAH and the Algerian Minister of Finance Mr. / Cream Judy , participated by a number of government authorities representatives from the two countries .
His Excellency the Minister of MCI, Chairman of the Saudi side delivered a speech on this occasion welcoming H.H. the President of the Algerian side and his companions , His Excellency refers to the importance of the role assigned to this committee , and the hopes placed in it to achieve further cooperation in various fields ,His Excellency noted the importance of what will be discussed during the meetings of this session , praised the achievements in the framework of this Committee , the Minister explained that signing the agreement on preventing double taxation between the two countries is an important step in strengthening and developing their investment relations .
The Joint Committee will discuss a number of topics of mutual interest, including investment, commercial and industrial cooperation, as well as in the scientific , educational and cultural fields, during the meetings of this session, the signing of an agreement to avoid double taxation will be concluded , there will be a program for cultural cooperation , and an executive program of the memorandum of cooperation signed between Darat King Abdulaziz in K.S.A. and the Directorate General of the National Archives in Algeria , and a memorandum of understanding for the exchange of information, expertise and marketing in the field of export development between the Saudi Fund for Development and the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade .
It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached in 2012 AD ( SR 1659 ) million, of them ( SR 1594 ) million Saudi exports to Algeria , and ( SR 65 ) million imports , and the trade balance tilts in favor of K.S.A. for several years.
