The Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, will organize tomorrow, Monday, 1 December 2025, a workshop titled “Key Amendments in the New Precious Metals and Gemstones Regulation.”
This workshop comes within the Ministry’s efforts to raise awareness among companies, institutions, and practitioners in the precious metals and gemstones activity regarding the recently issued regulatory amendments, and to enhance the compliance of establishments in the gold and precious metals sector with the requirements of the regulations and controls governing the trade of metals and gemstones.
The workshop aims to introduce the most significant new additions in the regulation, explain the amendments and their impact on the gold sector, as well as improve the compliance of establishments with the regulations.
Through this workshop, the Ministry seeks to enhance the understanding of practitioners in the precious metals and gemstones activity regarding the updated regulations, and to raise the level of establishments’ compliance with disclosure, oversight, and record-keeping requirements, and adherence to the controls governing the trade of precious metals and gemstones, in a manner that ensures achieving the highest standards of transparency and compliance.
