H.E. Minister of Commerce and Investment Meets the Joint Bosnian-Serb Delegation

Promoting Economic & Tourism Opportunities between Businessmen in both Sides was discussed
 
H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment meets the Joint Bosnian-Serb delegation, currently visiting the Kingdom, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh.

H.E. the Minister discussed ways of developing trade and investment cooperation with the visiting delegation, as well as promoting the investments in the fields of heritage and tourism between the Kingdom and the republics of Bosnia, Herzegovina and Serbia, also to enable the investors and businessmen in both sides to take advantage of the available opportunities.

After meeting the Joint Bosnian-Serb delegation, during its first visit to the Kingdom, H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment said in a press statement that the investment scope is broad and limitless, pointing out that MCI is seeking seriously to encourage local investors in the field of import or industries, in addition to promoting trade and investment exchange between the Kingdom and the visiting delegations.

H. E. Al Qasabi added: "We are currently working on an integrated system, starting with relevant regulations that bear the economic feasibility, encouraging the investment opportunities and giving incentives, to bring prosperity and welfare to the concerned countries. This would enable the investors and businessmen in K.S.A. to take advantage of the economic and investment opportunities, including tourism."

H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi said that the tourism sector is an important issue in economy and investment. This requires introducing the concerned countries, and specifying the relevant tourist sites put up for investment, taking into consideration the health and medical tourism and other investment issues related to tourism sector in particular.

The Bosnian delegation was headed by H.E. the Deputy Premier and  Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Harkovic, including a number of officials from the Bosnian Trade Ministry, as well as the Chairman of the Chamber of Foreign Trade and a number of businessmen, while the Serbian delegation was headed by H.E. the Deputy Premier and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, including officials from the Ministry of trade and Tourism, and chairman of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of businessmen.

During the two-day visit to the Kingdom, the said delegation will meet a number of officials, starting with His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, as well as the Minister of Environment, Water & Agriculture, also the Minister of Housing, including as well the businessmen in the Council of the Saudi Chambers.

The Joint Bosnian-Serb delegation's visit to the Kingdom, comes at the invitation of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, resulted from the visit of H.R.H. to the Republic of Serbia in Muharram 1437 AH (November 2015 AD), upon an official invitation from H.E. the Deputy Premier, Minister of trade, Tourism and Communications of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Rasim Ljajic.
