The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has issued a ruling taken by the Criminal Court in Riyadh, imposing a penalty against an Establishment specialized in selling tires and spare parts in Al-Zulfi province, involved in violating the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law, following the announcement of unlicensed sale.

The concerned court issued a judgment imposing a fine, and the sentence to be published in two local newspapers at the expense of the violating establishment.

The details go back when MCI inspectors monitored unlicensed sale at a commercial Establishment in Zulfi province. Therefore, the case was referred to the concerned authorities for taking the necessary legal procedures.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry has provided an e-service for issuing sale licenses. This is part of MCI efforts to provide all facilities for trade activities and to verify the reality of sale and promotions carried out by the commercial institutions, also to ensure the absence of manipulation or misleading against the consumers, as well as to eliminate all unreal or deceptive sale or promotions.

MCI would like to confirm the continuation of addressing and confronting those violating Anti-Commercial Fraud Law, as well as to take all necessary legal measures against any violation, in view of the consequences of cheating and deceiving on the consumers.

MCI calls on all consumers to lodge their complaints and observations through MCI Consumer Call Center (1900) or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report or through the Ministry's website.
