H.E. the Turkish President Inaugurates the 7th Bosporus Summit with the Participation of Saudi Arabia as a Guest of Honor

H.E. President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated this evening in Istanbul, the 7th Bosporus Summit, under the title "Global futures, Universal Goals" with the participation of Saudi Arabia as a guest of honor.

H.E. the Minister of Commerce & Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi headed the Saudi delegation to the said summit, which lasts for three days.
 
His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment stressed in his speech that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking to hold the most advanced economic status by the year 2030, despite the slowdown in the growth of the global economy, and the impacts resulting from the structural reforms of the Saudi economy over the next few years.
 
H.E. added in his speech, "The Kingdom is seeking to occupy a more advanced position by the year (1452 AH – 2030 AD), in spite of the global economic slowdown and the expected impact of the structural reforms in our economy over the next few years. This will require us to take advantage of our resources and to be invested well, in order to diversify our non-oil economy, also launching the potentials of our promising economic sectors, in addition to the privatization of a number of government services. "
 
H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi pointed out that the 7th  Bosphorus Summit came amid the growing economic challenges and variables, which require special efforts to meet them, looking forward that this constructive summit may contribute in building effective partnerships between the public and private sectors, besides providing a platform for the meetings of government officials, parliamentarians and businessmen, on purpose of reaching trade agreements for implementing various projects, which will be reflected on the economy of our countries.
 
H.E. The Minister concluded his speech by expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation to the organizers of the Bosphorus Summit for inviting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a guest of honor in this Summit. Thanks and gratefulness are extended as well to the Republic of Turkey for organizing and managing this important event well, wishing all success for the future conferences, hoping as well that the summit outputs may keep pace with the aspirations and hopes of all attendants, and that Almighty Allah may guide all to the welfare and goodness.
 
It is scheduled that the said summit will last for three days, with the participation of a number of delegation members in various sessions, including: "Saudi Vision 2030” , “Turkey's Vision 2023", "Diversification of Energy Sources for the Middle East Countries (non-oil exports)", "Developments in the Global Civil Aviation” and “Communication Technology. "
