To get a store verified: A commercial register or a valid professional certificate and a bank account are required
The Ministry of Commerce has asked electronic store owners to register their stores in the Business Platform, operated by the Saudi Business Center, rather than the Maroof Platform, in order to boost the credibility of e-commerce practices and strengthen the security of transactions made via bank accounts linked to these stores.
This latest action seeks to streamline the registration and verification processes, and it strengthens close collaboration with the E-Commerce Council in the process. A business bank account is essential for a store because it boosts its credibility in terms of financial transactions and prevents fraud and other financial crimes.
The Ministry said the registration process is simple and can be completed via:
https://business.sa/ . To get registered, an e-store must have a registration certificate or a valid professional certificate as well as a commercial bank account.
The Business Platform is the one and only place for verifying and registering electronic stores in the Kingdom.
