The regulatory teams of the Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with the Zakat, Tax, and Income Authority, the Municipality of Al-Majmaah Province, and law enforcement agencies, have apprehended unauthorized workers involved in fraudulent activities related to hookah tobacco in a residential apartment in Al-Majmaah Province.
Upon investigation, an illicit workshop was found inside the residential apartment, which was being used for commercial fraud involving hookah tobacco. Various flavors were added to unidentified source products before packaging. The regulatory teams confiscated and disposed of the seized quantities, shut down the illegal operation, and identified two registered establishments suspected of being involved in this fraudulent activity.
The Ministry has summoned the owners of these establishments to complete the necessary procedures and has referred the unauthorized workers to the relevant authorities for the imposition of regulatory penalties against them.
