The Ministry of Commerce has recently held a workshop on Proactive Control and Market Inspection with the participation of GCC trade control and consumer protection officials. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the GCC General Secretariat.
The three-day event featured a training on practical applications, site visits to regulatory bodies, and discussions on a wide range of issues pertaining to consumer protection. The attendees touched upon modern concepts and mechanisms of trade control, corporate compliance, latest digital control, product recalls, and product withdrawal programs.
The workshop included lectures outlining the experiences of the Kingdom (represented by the Consumer Protection Agency at the Ministry). Moreover, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates participated with two different presentations.
