MCI inspection teams shut down a warehouse in Jeddah, used by illegal labors for packing and distributing fake smart phone accessories. The inspectors seized more than 100 thousand counterfeit items, bearing famous brands.
MCI inspection teams raided the warehouse in violation and seized the following fake items: More than 14500 mobile headphones, 10750 chargers, 5700 batteries, 27340 cartons for packaging and 43250 stickers of famous brands.
Meanwhile, MCI inspection teams shut down the said warehouse immediately, and the owner was summoned by MCI for taking the necessary legal procedures, in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution and then to the judicial authorities for taking the final judgment.
Notably, any violation of the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law will result in penalties of up to three-year imprisonment, fines of up to one million Riyals, writing off the C.R., defamation and deporting the expats from the Kingdom.
