The inspection teams of the Ministry of Commerce have confiscated more than 500 used tires and tools used for counterfeiting and refurbishing these tires during a field visit to tire sales outlets and warehouses in Hafar Al-Batin.
The inspectors seized the quantities and summoned the owners of the non-compliant establishments to complete the necessary legal procedures in accordance with the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law.
The Anti-Commercial Fraud Law imposes penalties that can reach up to three years in prison, fines of up to one million riyals, or both penalties concurrently. It also includes the deportation of violating workers and publicizing the violators in two newspapers, along with the suspension of commercial activities, all following a final and enforceable judicial verdict from the competent courts.
