The Ministry of Commerce has published the public opinions and suggestions received on the draft “Executive Regulations of the Precious Metals and Gemstones Law” through the “Istitlaa” platform. The aim is to align with the amendments to several articles of the Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/87) dated 3/4/1446 AH (corresponding to 6 October 2024), by defining the regulatory provisions governing the activities of trading and manufacturing precious metals, gemstones, and their products, as well as plated, coated, and inlaid items, in addition to the controls for their oversight.
