MCI has won the Award for the Best E-Government Service among the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (GCC)

Contributed to Increase the Number of Commercial Registration by 44% during a Year, with High Reliability
 
 
A new achievement has been fulfilled in favor of Saudi Arabia in the field of e-government application and in providing theservices to customers in a very creative way. This is after the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Saudi Arabia has been awarded the "Best E-Government Service" for the E-Commercial Registration, during the fourth session of the Award of E-Government of the GCC Countries 2015, which is held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
 
Issuing the E-Commercial Registration for the institutions by MCI is considered the world's fastest service, where the Ministry announced, earlier this year, launching this service in a mechanism that enables the  customer to issue, renew, or modify his commercial registration electronically, within 180 secondsonly, without any paper work, through the website: www.cr.sa. This service as well enables the customer of issuing Chamber of Commerce Enrollment Certificate electronically, together withhis CR, as an integrated service.
 
MCI was keen to implement the best international standards and practices through the electronic transformation to support thedevelopment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where this servicecontributed to facilitate and simplify the steps and procedures of issuing the commercial registration, with high reliability as a result of the integration with other authorities. Therefore, the number of issuing, renewing or modifying the CR in the Kingdom, during the current year 2015 has reached 361. 000, with an increasing proportion of 44%, compared to last year.
 
This service is considered a supportive, big leap for the National Economy. It may stimulate and attract the citizens to start their business easily.
 
They no longer need to wait several days or contact different bodies to get the CR.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Saudi Arabia is constantly seeking to transform its manual services to an electronic. This is to achieve one of its strategic goals for being a Ministry free of attending customer.
 
Meanwhile, MCI had launched previously several electronic services such as: issuing the contracts of founding companies, Electronic Customs Exemptions, Electronic Control, issuing Certificates of Origin, issuing the Industrial Licenses, and other achievements that have been implemented to the highest international quality standards, with the qualified young Saudis.
 
The Ministry is currently working on several new bouquets to be provided electronically, especially the Electronic Companies Record, to be compatible with the New Corporate System, as well as the services of e-cuts licenses, also the application of Factories Guide on the smart devices and other electronic services.
