MC issued more than 3 thousand Sales Licenses and Responded to 497 Complaints
The Ministry of Commerce issued 3,413 Electronic Discounts Licenses to the commercial establishments and e-stores on the occasion of the National Day during the period from 22 to 24 of September.
The sales licenses lists included more than one million seven hundred thousand foodstuffs and consuming items, offered by the commercial establishments and e-stores in various regions of the Kingdom.
The most prominent items included in the discounts lists are the electrical and electronic appliances, clothes, and other commodities and products.
MC inspection teams also responded to 497 complaints relevant to discounts violations. These complaints were received by MC Consumer Call Center (1900), and the necessary legal measures had been taken in accordance with the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law.
The Ministry of Commerce had provided the electronic sales licenses on the National Day, so that the owners of e-stores and shops can submit their applications online. This service also enables the traders of using their annual discounts balance, allocated to them in the Electronic Discounts System.
This service enables the owners of e-stores and commercial establishments in the Kingdom to submit their applications for the discounts licenses online through the E-Discounts System by accessing the following link: https://sales.mci.gov.sa, then they can choose the type of license and complete the rest of the procedures through the e-portal, in addition to enabling the beneficiaries of paying the license fees online through the E-Payment System (SADAD), and then they can print the license.
Notably, the Ministry of Commerce had launched the Electronic Discounts System, through which the applications for sales licenses can be submitted throughout the year, as previously published in the list of 2020.
