The Ministry of Commerce's monitoring teams in the Madinah region carried out 5,611 inspection visits to businesses, commercial centers, and the surrounding roads. This initiative was a crucial component of their regulatory plan for this year's Hajj season (1444 H). The inspections were conducted in conjunction with the transportation of pilgrims from Madinah to the Sacred Sites, where they would fulfill their religious duties.

The inspections carried out by the Ministry of Commerce covered markets, commercial centers, sales outlets, gold and jewelry markets, fuel stations, and vehicle service centers in the Madinah region. They also included the roads leading to the Holy Sites, such as the Two Holy Mosques, the central area of the Prophet's Mosque, Qiba Mosque, Thul-Hulaifah Miqat, the Haramain high-speed train, and various other locations in the region. As a result of these inspections, 150 immediate violations were issued.

This is being carried out in implementation of the operational plan of the Ministry of Commerce in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites. The objective of this plan is to ensure the availability of essential supplies for Hajj pilgrims and visitors, as well as to verify the compliance of commercial establishments and sales outlets with consumer protection regulations.

The Ministry continues to actively fulfill its responsibilities during this year's Hajj season, as it closely follows up with the return of the pilgrims to Madinah after completing their rituals. It is intensifying its regulatory efforts to monitor the supply status in the markets and sales outlets, while ensuring the protection and preservation of consumer rights.
