These Successful Projects Include "Four Seas Cafe", "Delta Fitness Club" and "Amas Restaurant"
H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi, Minister of Commerce & Investment, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, visits three pioneering projects for small and medium enterprises in Arar, Northern Region. This is part of the Ministry and SME Authority's efforts to support, empower and stimulate enterprises and entrepreneurship.
H.E. Dr. Al Qassabi praised the aspiring thoughts of the he/she entrepreneurs, represented in their successful projects, visited by H.E. in Arar. H.E. praised the entrepreneurs ability and talent in developing their businesses to keep abreast with the national aspirations and to achieve the desired goals. H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi affirmed that the Ministry and SME Authority will give all support and assistance for Small & Medium Enterprises and for entrepreneurs.
H.E. Al-Qasabi visited three major projects in Arar, representing promising successful stories for creative entrepreneurs. H.E. visited Four Seas Café, founded by Mr. Walid Al-Mazyad in August 2013. The Café was initially limited to preparing and selling sweets, then it had been expanded in 2017, to include preparing and selling coffee and sweets of all kinds, it became one of the sites intended for young men and women. At the beginning the project was funded by an amount of SR 250.000 from "Riyadah" Institute.
Mr. Walid Al-Mazyad has ambitious plans to expand his project in a number of regions in the coming period. Currently, 12 Saudi girls, who are specialized in making sweets and coffee, are working with the owner Walid. Notably, the cafe includes a section for singles and another for families.
H. E. the Minister also visited Delta Fitness Center, which is a sport center for women, providing integrated services for females. This center is owned by the entrepreneur, Samia Al-Enezi. She thought of setting up a sport center for exercising sport activities, due to the spread of obesity among women. It was built on an area of 1500 square meters. The center includes halls for various sports activities such as: lifting weight, Fitness, Cardio, Croce Fit and boxing, as well as an integrated health section. The center is managed by 12 experienced Saudi women trainers, female administratives and nutrition specialist. This center is seeking to launch branches in various regions of the Kingdom in the coming years.
H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi also visited "Amas" Restaurant, specialized in Italian and Indian Sea Food. The restaurant was founded in 2018, and owned by the entrepreneur, Awatif Abdullah Ammash and her husband. The idea of establishing the restaurant was in response to the high demand of the city's residents and visitors for specialized types of food. The site was carefully chosen to serve different types of people. The restaurant employs 9 Saudi nationals. The lady, who is the owner of the restaurant, owns other leading enterprises in Arar, such as: Amas make up shop, and Blue Aqeek Club.
It is worth mentioning that H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment had visited last month a group of distinguished enterprises in Dammam and Al-Khobar. This is in the context of supporting and motivating he/she entrepreneurs.
