The Joint Saudi-Finland Economic Committee, chaired by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, held a meeting in Helsinki, Finland. During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and the Finnish Chamber of Commerce.
During the meeting, the two sides emphasize the importance of the Joint Committee’s role in developing trade exchange and bilateral investments between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom's delegation delivered a presentation on the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and the great facilities offered to foreign investors.
The two sides also discussed a number of issues, listed on the agenda, and agreed to enhance and strengthen the economic and investment relations between the two countries.
Cooperation, partnerships and boosting the private sector investments in both countries were discussed as well, especially in the fields of mining and geology, bio-economy, transportation and communications, energy, environment, food and agriculture, education and health.
The Saudi delegation, headed by H.E. Acting Undersecretary for Foreign Trade, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Harbi, also representatives of the Council of Chambers of Commerce and a number of businessmen, visited several government departments, during which they met a number of Finnish officials and businessmen.
H.E. Mr. Al Harbi also held meetings with the Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade, as well as with a number of officials in the public and private sectors.
