This has contributed to facilitating the procedures for starting up a business, also empowering the business for women, as well as attracting foreign investments. Consequently, various trade sectors witnessed an increase in Commercial Registrations, including the C.R. owned by Saudi youth (Male and Female), aged between 18 to 35 years, also the Saudi women and foreign investors’ C.R.
The e-commerce sector witnessed as well a significant growth during the past years by registering an increase of 817% during 2020, as the number of Commercial Registrations reached 16,286, compared to 2015, where the number of C.R. reached 1,775.
The entertainment sector witnessed a growth of 625% during 2020, bringing the number of C.R. to 32,320, compared to 4,461 C.R. in 2015.
The industry sector witnessed as well a growth of 295% during 2020, bringing the number of C.R. to 28,532, compared to 7,172 C.R. in 2015.
In addition, the C.R. owned by Saudi youth (male and female) witnessed an increase of 556% during 2020, bringing the number of C.R. to 210,093, compared to 32,075 in 2015.
The Saudi women's C.R. grew by 115% during 2020, to reach 372,674, compared to 173,074 C.R. in 2015.
Foreign investor records achieved as well a growth of 78% during 2020, bringing the number of foreign investor C.R. to 25,238, compared to 14,154 during 2015.
