MCI Confirms the Availability of Commodities during the Holy Month of Ramadan. All Promotions are under Monitoring in the Kingdom's Markets

Action Plan is Implemented to monitor any Commercial Fraud, and to follow up any Effects on Supply and Demand
 
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment confirmed that the proactive field inspections tours conducted on the local markets indicated the availability of all commodities and foodstuffs that the consumers use to buy during the Holy Month of Ramadan, suitable alternatives are provided as well, and high competition among selling outlets is noticed in various regions of the Kingdom.
 
These procedures come within the Ministry's endeavors to follow-up the implementation of the intensive inspection rounds, aimed at following up and ensuring the availability of Ramadan commodities in the markets and shops in various regions of the Kingdom, besides verifying their validity, and taking the necessary measures towards any impacts on supply and demand. This is part of the Ministry's seasonal work plan during the Holy Month of Ramadan 1438H.
 
Meanwhile, MCI pointed out that the inspection tours will be continued to verify the commitment of placing the price tags on the items, and to verify as well that the offered price is matching the one with the cashier, as well as monitoring the promotions offered during this period by markets and shops, to ensure the absence of any fraud or deception to consumers, besides taking all legal measures against any violation, and impose the proper penalties against the violators.
 
MCI calls on all consumers to lodge their complaints or to report any observations through MCI Consumer Call Center (1900) or by the application of a Commercial Violation Report, via their smart phones round the clock.
