The Ministry of Commerce has announced the release of over 4,700 licenses for discounts and promotional offers, catering to both commercial establishments and e-commerce platforms across all regions of the Kingdom, in celebration of the National Day season. This substantial release occurred within just four days from the commencement of the discount season, which is scheduled to last until the end of September 2023.
The Ministry has granted 2,241 discount licenses to physical commercial establishments and 436 to online stores, along with 2,040 promotional offer licenses to both.
These licenses encompass over 37 million diverse products, including but not limited to food items, electronic devices, perfumes, smartphones, and apparel for men, women, and children.
The Ministry highlighted that the streamlined process of acquiring seasonal discount licenses online, available at sales.mc.gov.sa, simplifies the application process for merchants, allowing them to manage their electronic discount portfolios efficiently. This service also enables the printing of licenses, minimizing the occurrence of fraudulent discount activities and fostering a conducive and stimulating business environment.
