A Royal Decree Appointing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Bawardi as Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment

​A Royal Decree has been issued today for appointing Majid bin Abdullah Al Bawardi, as Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment, under the Excellent Rank. For his part, Majid Al Bawardi presented, on his Twitter account, his full thanks and appreciation for this kind royal trust, and promised to do his best to serve this great country and its noble people.
 
H. E. Al Bawardi has been holding several positions during his practical experience, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Thiqa Co. for Business Services, which is considered MCI strategic partner for developing its services since 2012, including as well a group of ministries and other government bodies. H.E. Al Bawardi was also an advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry, and a General Supervisor of Information Technology. H.E. Al Bawardi was also a member in several boards of directors, such as the Communications and Information Technology Commission, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Saudi Post and others. Recently, he headed the Board of Directors of Thiqa Co. for Business Services and the Board of Directors of Riyadh Airports Company.
 
H.E. Al-Bawardi graduated from the College of Computer Science at King Saud University and received several training programs and certificates, most notably a Master's Degree in Project Management from George Washington University and an Advanced Degree in Leadership and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He started his practical career in the Telecommunications Company, then in Alam Information Security Company, then in Youssir program for e-transactions, then as an advisor at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and as CEO of Thiqa Co. for Business Services, and most recently Chairman of Directors Board for Thiqa Co.
