Minister of Commerce & Industry Meets CEOs of Cement Companies, Factories

In line with directives of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, relating to meet increasing demand on cement and how to put it at avail of citizens, as the country witnesses rapidly huge building growth, along with housing projects and governmental infrastructures.
 
Accordingly ,the minister of commerce and industry Dr. TAWFIG FAWZAN ALRABIAH has held a meeting with the chief executive officers of different cement companies and factories, to put them in the picture of the latest noble royal directives, to put an end to the scarcity of cement, in the local markets, as soon as possible, to meet all needs, by rapidly import cement, in addition to the current local production.
 
The directives contains long term solutions to meet markets' needs, in the next few years, as it stresses functioning of 3-4 new factories of cement, as soon as possible, with a total annual capacity of 12 million tons.
 
The minister briefed them, too, on mechanisms and arrangements related to carrying out with the royal directives, underscoring importance of implementing them, accordingly, through full cooperation with MCI to provide the market with this vital commodity, and to facilitate buying it at affordable prices, smoothly and at ease.
 
On their part, all attending companies stated their full commitment to aforementioned  mechanisms and arrangements, in order to realize national development objectives, announcing that they have, already, embarked on immediate carrying  them out.
