The meetings witnessed an exchange of experiences in Small and Medium Enterprises sector
HE the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi met Mr. Li Chengwen the ambassadors of the Republic of the People's of China, Mr. Norihiro Okuda the Ambassador of Japan, and Mr. Kwon Pyung Oh the ambassador of North Korea to the Kingdom.
The Chines ambassador and the Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment discussed the business relations and the investment opportunities between the two countries and the means to develop them. HE also focused on empowering the mutual Saudi Chines business council and urged businesspeople in both countries to work hard in exploring the cooperation opportunities.
The Minister Al-Qasabi discuss the investment cooperation between the two countries with the Japanese ambassador and how to benefit from the experiences of business incubators in building human abilities and resources, Japanese arising companies, modern technology and the opportunities to invest in the health sector.
At the meeting with the Korean Ambassador, the Minister of Trade and Investment discussed promoting trade exchange between the two countries and the means to increase the Saudi non-oil exports to the Korean markets, highlighting the Korean Saudi Third Forum that will be held in Korea.
They also discussed Korea's contribution in training Saudi manpower, and how to benefit from the Korean's experience in small and medium enterprises in the entrepreneurship sector. Also, they discussed the cooperation with the Korean side in the field of cognitive investments, the future of the energy, water industry, education and human development and investment environment.
It is known that the Republic of China is among the top 10 countries that import from the Saudi Arabia, and the estimated trade volume in 2015 reached 185 billion riyals.
Trade exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan in 2015 was proximately 118 billion riyals. While the volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and the Republic of South Korea was about 103 billion riyals.
