As part of the Ministry's seasonal work plan for the Holy Month of Ramadan 1441 AH, the Ministry of Commerce has implemented proactive inspection tours to monitor and control the markets in all regions of the Kingdom, also to verify the abundance of basic consumables and commodities usually used by consumers in the Holy Month of Ramadan,
MC inspection tours revealed the availability and abundance of all goods and food products used in Ramadan, as well as the availability of appropriate alternatives for each item. Notably, the competition among the shops and outlets in various regions of the Kingdom has been increased.
This comes within the Ministry’s efforts to follow-up and monitor the availability of commodities and foodstuffs in the markets and commercial stores in various regions of the Kingdom, besides verifying the validity of all items, in addition to monitoring the promotion and offers advertised by the markets and commercial stores for the Holy Month of Ramadan, so that to ensure the absence of deception or manipulation towards the consumers, and to take all legal measures against any violation, also to impose the appropriate penalties on the violators.
The Ministry of Commerce calls on all consumers to lodge their complaints and reports through MC Consumer Call Center (1900), or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry’s website.
