H.R.H. Prince of Riyadh Inaugurates the 15th OIC Trade Fair Next Sunday

Under the Kind Patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah bless him, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, prince of Riyadh, opens the 15th OIC Trade Fair, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, on Sunday evening, in collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Islamic Center for   Development of Trade (ICDT) and the Council of Saudi Chambers. The said Trade Fair to be held at Riyadh International Exhibition & Convention Centre during 15-19. 08.1437 H, corresponding to 22- 26.05.2016 AD.

Mr. Turki Al Toaimi, advisor of H.E. the Minister of Commerce & Investment, the official MCI spokesman, has expressed his deepest thanks, gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz for his noble inauguration and interest of the 15th OIC Trade Fair, appreciating what the commercial and investment sectors have been enjoying of care and interest by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Mr. Al Toaimi extended his deepest thanks and appreciation to H.R.H. prince of Riyadh for his care and interest in the OIC Trade Fair.

Mr. Al Toaimi added that the 15th OIC Trade Fair will witness the participation of more than 30 OIC member states, explaining as well that the Kingdom`s pavilion would be the largest among the OIC member states, it would include a large number of Saudi companies and establishments, displaying and offering variety of goods and products made in Saudi Arabia, pointing in the same context that some of the Saudi products reached more than 100 countries worldwide. Mr. Al Toaimi mentioned that the Kingdom seeks to increase its trade and investment with the Islamic countries. The 15th OIC Trade Fair is expected to witness the signing of a number of agreements and deals among OIC member countries and companies. 

According to the official MCI spokesman, a number of OIC ministers and ambassadors will participate in the said Trade Fair, as well as businessmen and industrialists. Al Toaimi confirmed that the trade fair would give various opportunities for businessmen to cooperate in various fields in the private sector activities, such as finding new markets for their products and services, establishing joint ventures, providing new methods of funding for the two-way trade, identifying the available opportunities for cooperation in the industrial projects and expanding the trade exchange among OIC member countries.

It is worth mentioning that the OIC Trade Fair is held every two years, aiming to introduce the products and services of OIC Member States, to raise the level of trade exchange, to promote the two-way investment and to open new markets for the products of the participating countries.

The 15th OIC Trade Fair aims to introduce products, industries and services of the OIC member states, as well as to raise the level of trade exchange and to promote the two-way  investment among the member states, also to deepen the cooperation bonds in various economic fields among member states, beside identifying the investment and trade opportunities in the hosting country, in addition to opening new markets for products and industries of OIC countries, more over promoting trade activities between OIC member States and the hosting country.

On the sidelines of the 15th OIC Trade Fair, the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Islamic Chamber will organize the 9th Forum for Businesswomen in Islamic Countries on Wednesday evening, May 25, 2016 at the headquarters of the Council of Saudi Chambers in Riyadh.
