In Cooperation with Food & Drug Authority, the inspection teams of the Ministry of Commerce have seized more than two million masks and gloves, stored at an Est., on purpose of selling them later. The said Est. did not disclose the real quantity that does exist in the warehouse, besides the storage place is not licensed by the relevant authorities.

Accordingly, the quantities were confiscated and the necessary penalties had been imposed on the Est., and those in charge were referred to the competent authorities for taking the legal measures against them.

The Ministry of Commerce warns all violating importers who refrain to disclose the actual quantities they have, and storing large quantities on purpose to selling them later. The Ministry calls on the traders to supply the quantities into the market, as per the coordination with the F&D Authority.

The Ministry calls on all consumers to report and lodge their complaints against any violating establishments or outlets through the Consumer Call Center (1900), or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, or via the Ministry’s website.
